Supplemental terms to our Terms of Service, incorporated by reference. Effective October 14, 2026.
The one-time purchase. "Pro" is sold as a one-time purchase. You pay once and nothing renews. These terms apply to Pro purchases made on or after the effective date above. Earlier purchases (sold as "Pro Lifetime") keep the terms they were sold under; see "Purchases made before October 14, 2026" below.
What you buy. You are buying a license, not the software. Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the EpicDraft application, its Pro features, or any copy of them, and we and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted. Your purchase grants you a non-transferable license to install and use the EpicDraft application and every offline Pro feature, and to access screenplays and other content stored locally on your own device(s), including offline, subject to these Terms. This license does not expire. Peer-to-peer synchronization between your own devices — including the lightweight connection-establishment ("signaling") service we operate to help your devices find each other — is part of what you buy; we may replace that mechanism with an equivalent one over time.
"Cloud Service" defined. "Cloud Service" means our server-backed features, including but not limited to: cloud backup, storage, and synchronization of your documents; creating new team-collaboration invitations; and script-coverage submissions. Account and authentication services and remote delivery of software updates are provided independently of the Cloud Service.
Complimentary Cloud Service. Your purchase currently comes with the Cloud Service at no extra charge. The Cloud Service is not part of what you buy and has no guaranteed term. We may discontinue the complimentary Cloud Service for one-time purchasers at any time. If we do, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it ends. After that we may, but are not required to, offer the Cloud Service as a separate paid service.
What continues without the Cloud Service. Your license; all offline features; AI features; peer-to-peer synchronization between your own devices (as described above); and collaborating on files whose owner has their own cloud access — accepting invitations issued to you remains available.
What stops without the Cloud Service. Cloud backup, storage, and synchronization of your documents; creating new team-collaboration invitations; and script-coverage submissions. Content already stored on your devices is unaffected, and previously accepted collaborators keep their access.
Changes to server-backed features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any server-backed feature where reasonably necessary — including for security, legal, technical, or commercial reasons, or due to changes by a third-party provider.
Data portability. At all times, including after the Cloud Service ends, we will provide a means to export your screenplays and content in a standard, usable format so that you keep access to your work.
Price. The price is shown at checkout. We may sell the purchase at an introductory price below its regular price, and we may change either price at any time. A price change never affects a purchase already made.
No additional refund. Except as required by applicable law or our Returns Policy, the price is paid in full at purchase and no refund is owed because the complimentary Cloud Service is changed or ended, or because a server-backed feature is modified as described above.
Purchases made before October 14, 2026. "Pro Lifetime" purchases made before the effective date keep the terms they were sold under: a license to the application and its offline features that does not expire, plus a complimentary Cloud Service term of five (5) years from the date of purchase (for purchases made before those terms were first published, five years from their publication). After that term the Cloud Service may be renewed at the then-current price (currently $12 per year on our website, or $14.99 per year through the Apple App Store or Google Play); renewal is optional, auto-renews until canceled, and can be canceled at any time effective at the end of the paid period. If we discontinue the Cloud Service during a paid period or during that five-year term, we will give advance notice and either a comparable replacement, a pro-rata refund of any paid, unused period, or a reasonable means to export your data. A refunded Cloud Service period revokes only that paid period and does not affect the license or the complimentary term.
Future self-hosting (non-binding). We may in the future offer a self-hosted server option allowing you to run the Cloud Service's server components on your own infrastructure. This is a statement of intent only and does not form part of these Terms or of any purchase.
